Solving combined economic emission dispatch problem in wind integrated power systems

<p>A meta-heuristic based optimization method for solving combined economic emission dispatch (CEED) problem the power system with thermal and wind energy generating units is proposed in this paper. Wind environmentally friendly abundantly available, but intermittency variability of affects operation. Therefore, operator (SO) must aware forecast uncertainty accordingly. Here, CEED solved by including nonlinear characteristics generators, stochastic behavior generators. The nature generators handled using probability distribution analysis. purpose to optimize fuel cost levels simultaneously. changed into a single objective weighted sum approach. particle swarm (PSO) algorithm. feasibility methodology demonstrated on six generator system, obtained results PSO approach are compared from genetic algorithm (GA) enhanced algorithms (EGA).</p>
